An Intro to Literature Reviews
by: Faculty of Graduate Studies
In this installment of the “Developing Your Research” webinar series, Joanna Nemeth from the Library and Sarah-Jean Watt from the Write Site will present how to develop and perfect the literature review. This webinar will not only clarify what a literature review is and teach students how to research and prepare, it will also deconstruct and elucidate the overall structure, from abstract to introduction, background to methodology, and results to discussion and conclusion. Students will furthermore learn how to search for literature review samples to consult and learn from the experts—authors of published reviews. Student writers will walk away from this webinar with an array of patterns and strategies for approaching every aspect of writing the literature review.
