Research Data Management

by: Faculty of Graduate Studies

Do you have a research project or are you interested in learning ways to manage data? This webinar is an introduction to what is involved in research data management (RDM). You will learn about the research data lifecycle as a model for planning how to manage your data from initial conception of your project, through active analysis, and into longer term storage as well as data sharing and deposit. Tools and resources available to you to assist in data management planning will be introduced.

By the end of the session, you will be able to:

  • Develop a data management plan
  • Get started with basic data documentation
  • Consider data sharing and long-term retention of data

Robyn Stobbs is the Research Data Management Librarian at AU. She has a background in information behaviour research (information needs, seeking, and use in different contexts), and she provides support for researchers at AU with data management planning and data curation (including data sharing, preservation, and deposit).
